• Harvest Festival

  We welcomed Mr Keating from Eastleigh Basic Banks to our Harvest Assemblies. He talked to the children about how all their donations of food will be used to help people living within our area. Each year group sang a harvest song or read a harvest poem. As part of Year One and Two’s Harvest Assembly, Mr Peart, with the help of some children and Mrs Carter, created a pizza. We looked at each ingredient within our pizza, finding out which country it was from and how many miles it had travelled to reach us. We talked about how farmers from around the World harvest their crops and what happens to our food before we consume it.

  Year R had a separate Harvest Assembly, where the story of the Little Red Hen was retold.
