• Mums and Me

  It has been so lovely to see all the mums in school for our Mums and Me afternoons. Thank you for coming in to spend some time with your children.

  The children loved making their papier mache models, finding all of the clues in the scavenger hunt and making pictures using sliders and levers! The children were very creative when making their models and pictures and collaborated well in groups. We were very proud of the children’s perseverance to find and solve all of the hidden clues out in the school grounds.

  

• Royal Week

  What a fantastic ‘Royal Week’ we have all had! This week the children have been learning all about the Queen and celebrating her birthday in style! We have each written a letter to the Queen telling her what we have learnt and asking her some interesting questions! 

  To celebrate ‘Royal Week’, Year One  got the chance to go to each classroom and undertake a range of Queen related activities. In Spain Class the children solved a range of maths word problems using their knowledge of calculations. In Germany Class we looked at the Royal Family Tree and then the children started to make their own family tree. As part of our Literacy Learning, we planned our own stories in Italy Class and in Denmark Class we investigated which material would be best to make a waterproof coat for the Queen’s corgis!
