• Year 2 Cooking

  Year 2 went shopping to Country Market in Fair Oak. They went in the shop in small groups to buy ingredients. The shop keeper weighed the items and the children paid him. Some groups were able to give the exact money and to work out themselves how much change they should get! 

  Back at school the children remembered to use the claw hold and the bridge hold to carefully chop the fruit and vegetables that they bought. The teachers were very impressed with the care the children took using the sharp knives and the collaboration that they saw.

  

• Year R Pirate Day

  Following our fabulous ‘Pirate Day’ on Monday, We are happy to report that all Year R children are now fully trained pirates!  They know how to climb the rigging, swab the decks and even walk the plank! They were also very good at keeping the cannonballs on the ship.  The highlight of course was finding some treasure, especially the authentic ‘hard tack’ biscuits which the pirates enjoyed with their milk, being a little too young still for rum rations!
