  • Grounds Launch Day

    Mon 29 Sep 2014

All the children enjoyed Grounds Launch Day on 29th September.  Children in Year R had lots of fun using their senses to explore their surroundings.  They found lots of objects to match textures and used their fantastic listening ears to see what they could hear around the school.

Year One children were set a challenge to find objects in different shades of green or brown and match it to a colour chart.  They had great fun doing observational drawings of the plants around the school too.

Year Two had a fabulous time making pongy pots using leaves and plants found in the school grounds.

    Tue 09 Sep 2014
As part of their learning, which has continued from Year R, Year One had an exciting start to their week when Open Box Theatre came and worked with each class. All the children had a great time acting in role as pirates and finding out what life was like for pirates out at sea!
  • Year Two explore the Polar Regions

    Mon 08 Sep 2014

Year Two have had an exciting and busy first week, especially with the arrival of the Open Box Theatre on Monday. The children behaved brilliantly taking on a number of roles in their exploration of the Polar Regions. We hope that they can show you where these are on a map or globe, and explain what these words mean: Inuit, rising sun, Arctic, Antarctic and blubber! We will be using this knowledge in our next topic about Explorers.
