  • Remembrance Day

    Tue 11 Nov 2014

On Tuesday, everyone gathered for a Remembrance Assembly shortly before 11.00am.  We talked about the relevance of poppies and saw photographs of the poppies growing on the Battlefields in France.  Many children had visited the Tower of London to see the amazing display of poppies, we also saw footage of the Queen laying her wreath at the Cenotaph.

All the children have made individual paper poppies which we have collaged into wreaths for out hall display.

  • Puppet Show

    Tue 04 Nov 2014
Year 1 had a very exciting afternoon watching a puppet show.  All of the children really enjoyed the show and participated very enthusiastically!  The show gave them the opportunity to see the different ways the puppets can be created and they will be developing these ideas to create their own puppets over the coming weeks.
  • Space Dome visit

    Mon 03 Nov 2014
Year 2 had a fabulous experience in a Space Dome.  They learnt all about the different planets, how the sun sets and rises, that the four planets closest to the sun are made of rock and the four farthest away are made from gas.  They watched the first space mission and astronauts walking on the moon.
