Royal Week

What a fantastic ‘Royal Week’ we have all had! This week the children have been learning all about the Queen and celebrating her birthday in style! We have each written a letter to the Queen telling her what we have learnt and asking her some interesting questions! 

To celebrate ‘Royal Week’, Year One  got the chance to go to each classroom and undertake a range of Queen related activities. In Spain Class the children solved a range of maths word problems using their knowledge of calculations. In Germany Class we looked at the Royal Family Tree and then the children started to make their own family tree. As part of our Literacy Learning, we planned our own stories in Italy Class and in Denmark Class we investigated which material would be best to make a waterproof coat for the Queen’s corgis!
