Pyramid Vocal Festival

On Wednesday a group of children from Year 2 took part in our annual Wyvern Pyramid Vocal Festival at Thornden Hall. The children learnt four songs on the theme of home before attending a workshop run by Edward Price from The BBC Singers. At the workshop they worked with nearly 200 children from local schools to create a performance. In the evening they performed to an audience of 400. They showed our school values of creativity, perseverance and collaboration to create a wonderful production.

“The festival had loads of people watching. It made me happy when I was singing because I like singing.” Danny

“The conductor was called Edward. He led the singing we had to watch him all the time because he was showing us how to sing by waving his hands.” Leo

“When I walked on to the stage and everybody was watching I was a little bit nervous. Once I started singing I forget my fear and I loved it.” Cassius

“When we got to Thornden Hall we listened to the senior choir sing it was fantastic.” Josh
